De versie met 25 toetsen bestond al, maar nu biedt AKAI de Synthstation ook aan met 49 toetsen. Bijzonder is wel dat je er een complete iPad in kwijt kunt, waarop je dus MIDI en drumpad performances kwijt kunt via de CoreMIDI en AKAIConnect applicaties. Je iPad wordt wel op zo’n manier gepositioneerd dat je uitstekend alles kunt teruglezen, dat moet dan wel weer worden gezegd. Wanneer je een stukje productie wilt combineren met de laatste producten van Apple, dan biedt AKAI je wel die gelegenheid.
