Vestax PDX-3000 mix

De PDX van Vestax is ondertussen alweer aan zijn derde generatie toe, eerst hadden we de plastic dozen genaamd PDX2000, toen kregen we de opgewaardeerde PDX2300 en nu is er de PDX3000. De PDX3000 heeft zowel midi als usb aan boord, echter zijn er een aantal fouten in de draaitafel blijven zitten waardoor je jezelf af kunt vragen of de toevoeging "mix" achter PDX3000 nou wel echt van waarde is.

De fouten die zijn blijven zitten zijn onder andere de behuizing, nog steeds is de draaitafel te vergelijken met de eerste de beste jip en janneke broodtrommel die je bij de Hema in het schap vind. Daarnaast is het hele toonarm design er nog steeds één waar vraagtekens bij gezet kunnen worden. De demping van de arm gebeurd door middel van een rubber, het idee is misschien wel goed maar de residu speling op de arm is niet echt wenselijk. Ook lijkt het er op dat men de platter nog steeds op dezelfde wijze bevestigd aan de motor wat resulteerd in een speling op het plateau (en dat is alles behalve wenselijk op een draaitafel.

Nu is dat laatste te verhelpen door zelf de beugels een beetje bij te buigen waardoor de speling geminimaliseerd word (deze blijft aanwezig) maar netjes is het niet voor een draaitafel die ruim 600 euro moet gaan kosten.

Ook opvallend is dat men bij de versie met de rechte arm (oftewel het verkorte toonarm systeem) wel gewoon de anti skating laat zitten...
