Mackie d.2 DJ mixer features infinium contact-free fader.
Infinium specialises in the development and distribution of digital contact-free controls which feature:
- ultra-long life
- high-level precision
- fully adjustable ‘feel’

Providing DJs with unparalleled fingertip control, the infinium fader allows for full and simple personalisation to suit the user whatever his or her demands.
Commenting on the relationship, René Moolenaar, Business Development Director of Infinium Technologies, says: “there has not been much development in the market for linear controls and we are therefore very pleased that Mackie recognises the potential of the technology we have developed over the last three years. Not only will the fader last for a very long time because of its contact-free technology, it is also packed with exiting features such as an adjustable feel and cut-off points.”
Adding to this, John Boudreau, Product Manager at Mackie, summarises the opportunity as follows: "a state-of-the-art mixer needs a state-of-the-art fader".
The Mackie d.2 is the world’s first DJ mixer with optional FireWire computer connection. The revolutionary 2-channel mixer is built upon intelligent ergonomics, bulletproof construction, premium analogue VCA circuitry, and ultra high-performance components including the infinium optical crossfader, Mackie-designed mic and turntable preamps, smooth analogue EQ with backlit knobs, 3-position spring-loaded transform switch, and plenty of mixer headroom for that wide-open “analogue” sound.
