Eindelijk wat meer info over de nieuwe Vestax effect mixer en ook een prijs... en die valt me eerlijk gezegt 100 procent mee. De nieuwe Vestax PMC280 is dus de nieuwe effect mixer van Vestax die wel iets weg heeft van de VMC-004FX maar dan in een wat ouder gestyled jasje.

Ook claimt Vestax de eerste te zijn met een ring modulator en een vocoder alszijnde effect op een mixer, nu had de DJM909 volgens mij al een ring modulator en een vocoder en heeft de Nuo5 van Ecler om nog maar een voorbeeld te noemen ook al een vocoder aan boord dus nieuw is niet zo nieuw als Vestax ons wil doen geloven.

Vestax has dropped the new PMC-280, a new Performance Series Mixer with 4 channels and 16 DSP effects. The PMC-280 offers 4 channels to serve all DJ styles together with a professional DSP effects unit on board featuring 24bit 96kHz sampling rate for the highest quality sound warping. Two rotaries are provided on the control surface to adjust 2 variable parameters for each effect. 16 effects are available with algorithms specially designed for DJs making the PMC-280 the most powerful and unique DJ weapon on the market.


The PMC-280 comes with new channel faders and our exclusive CF-PCV cross fader for smooth mixing and lightning fast DJ battles. Each channel comes with a 3 band isolator EQ. 10 inputs are provided including 6 LINE, 2 PHONO, 2 MIC, and the output section features 2 individually controlled RCA stereo outputs and XLR outputs on MASTER.

The effects section includes a Ring Modulator and a Vocoder, both of which are a world’s first for a DJ effects unit allowing DJs to have the edge over their competition.

Prijs van de Vestax PMC280 zal op 499$ komen, dat zal de mixer dus ook in ongetwijfeld in euro's gaan kosten. Wanneer de PMC-280 exact leverbaar gaat zijn kan nog niemand zeggen al zal het volgens Vestax in maart of april zijn.
