Dateq XTC opvolger, specifications gelekt

The long awaited professional DJ mixer has finally arrived !

The Vibe has five channels, four of which are equipped with faders. The channel without fader is meant to enable microphones or auxiliary sources to be used without occupying one of the 4 main channels. In total 9 stereo sources and one microphone input is available. Microphone level can still be adjusted with the Gain-control, and a special “Rap” switch makes it possible to turn very quickly to the preset level of that channel. The fader channels are equipped with medium length, 60 mm ALPS fader which runs extremely smoothly. The VIBE channels consist of two inputs each, so that line signals such as computer, sampler, CD or MD player can be connected as well as three turntables. A push button next to the channel input control allows switching from input 1 to input 2, so that plugging in and unplugging equipment is a thing of the past.

The tone control is just what can be expected from Dateq. A perfect Top for accentuating high hats, an aggressive Mid and a Groovy Bass. Top and Bass have a range of plus 8 to minus 32 dB, while the Mid band can be adjusted from minus 34 to plus 6 dB. So the need for kill switches is eliminated.

The first microphone channel has a dedicated 4-way tone control with a sub-low band, to eliminate the ultra low “plop” frequencies and still maintain a warm full sound.

A processor makes it possible to tune your Vibe mixer to your personal taste in control settings. This way you can personalize your own personal DJ tool.

The X-fader is selectable between the four fader-channels of the Vibe and is together with the channel faders VCA operated, in order to exclude noise and to guarantee years of trouble-free use.

The two Multi Band Filters are designed for changing the music just way you would like it. By using two filters at a time, spectacular mixes between two different sources can be created.
The control of the filters can be done through manual rotation or by the cross-fader.

To add even more flexibility each fader channel can choose to switch in the send/return path to allow external effects to be connected for optimum performance. To make it complete, a separate 20 segments VU meter can show the input and output level of the FX line.!
This allows you to add external effects without the unwanted distortion, due to a too high level.

Each channel can be monitored on a powerful headphone-output. Split, a unique Dateq function, can be tuned from the full Source, to the full Cue signal.
This allows monitoring and listening to the master signal to be carried out on the headphones simultaneously.

There are plenty of outputs available on the Vibe. The master output is balanced and has XLR plugs so that it can be coupled directly to an output amplifier. The master also has a cinch output. The XTC has a monitor out, a Sub low output for operation of an (active) low speaker and a second headphone connection.
Also a RJ45 socket is provide to allow fast software updates in the future. A MIDI connection allows you to personalize start/stop settings to computers etc.

Because the Vibe is used mostly in dimly lit surroundings, it is equipped with a front-mounted 12 volt BNC-lamp connection.
