Denon DN-S1200 firmware update

De firmware update welke luisterd naar het versie nummer V1410 was al in December vrij gegeven maar vooor de mensen die nog niet op de hoogte waren dit nieuws bericht. Geen nieuwe functies deze keer en ook geen hele grote bugfix list. Het enige wat aangepakt lijkt te zijn is het lezen van slechte cd's. Door de nieuwe firmware op de S1200 los te laten zouden gebruikers minder last moeten hebben van haperende spelers bij het gebruik van beschadigde cd's welke eerder slecht door de S1200 gelezen werden.

• Improved: CD reading conditions to avoid a random and infrequent “Pause” during playback
• Improved: CD reading conditions to improve playability during playback with smart detection:
  Condition 1: The player now automatically recalibrates its focus gain to an adequate level for CDs in very poor condition. During this status, the displays "CD" icon will flash rapidly as a visual warning.
  Condition 2: The player will automatically change its reading speed “down” if it cannot change its focus gain to an adequate level. If this happens, the displays “CD” icon will flash slowly as a visual warning. During this status, long seamless backspins may sound choppy and not available. In either case, we strongly recommend replacing such defective discs with a new copy. We recommend using, “Taiyo Yuden” brand CD-R’s for best performance.
