Numark iDec en Numark dustcover

Bij deze het voor velen iets minder spectaculaire Numark nieuws, namelijk de iDec en werkelijk waar de meest lelijke dustcover die ik ooit heb gezien voor één van de mooiste draaitafels die ik ooit heb gezien... het design van de TTX vind ik namelijk nog steeds heel erg mooi al is niet iedereen het daarmee eens. De optionele dustcover welke nu beschikbaar is vind ik echter niet echt één van de mooiste. Gelukkig liggen dust covers er vaak op als je je apparatuur NIET gebruikt dus je hoeft er niet al teveel tegen aan te kijken.

Dust cover has a specially designed cutaway for the tone-arm counterweight so that records can play unobstructed, edge to center, with the dustcover in place. Soms slagen bedrijven er tegen beter weten in absolute onzin uit te kramen en Numark slaagt er deze keer echt geweldig in. Een dustcover is er namelijk voor om je apparaat te beschermen tegen stof, daar wil je dus geen joekel van een gat in aan de achterzijde waardoor het afspelen van een plaat zelfs met de dustcover er op mogelijk is. Dat laatste is namelijk punt 2, iedereen die een beetje verstand van zaken heeft weet namelijk donders goed dat je GEEN stofkap op je draaitafel wil hebben tijdens het afspelen om de dodsimpele reden dat dit de kwaliteit negatief zou beinvloeden. Je maakt namelijk van je draaitafel naast een afspeel apparaat ook nog eens een klankkast en dat wil je niet met het oog op kwaliteit.

Leuk bedacht dus door de mensen van de marketing afdeling om er een gat in de achterzijde in te zagen en er een leuk verhaal bij te verzinnen maar het raakt kant nog wal op het vlak van waarheid.
