Numark heeft een software update uitgebracht voor zijn flagship de Numark CDX1.

Met deze software update zou het mogelijk moeten zijn om via het MIDI protocol 2 CDX?n met elkaar te kunnen syncen.

Bij het updaten van de software is het van groot belang dat je de volgende manier aan houd,

Software Update Procedure for CDX

Downloading

• 1. Download the software update file from the Numark website.
• 2. If zipped, unzip the file using WinZip or equivalent software.

Burning

• 3. Start your CD burning software and set it to burn an AUDIO CD.
• 4. Load the WAV file into your CD burning program. It is advisable to burn the CD at the slowest speed possible to ensure an accurate burn. If you have a disc-at-once option, it should be used.
• 5. Burn the disc and finalize the CD.

Programming

• 6. Power up your CD player with no CD inside.
• 7. Insert the updated CD into the CDX.
• 8. Wait until the display indicates time remaining.
• 9. Press the STUTTER button. In the display you will see the word “UPDATE” as the time counts down. The unit will then play automatically a second time while the unit is programmed.
• 10. At completion of the procedure the CD should eject automatically and the display will indicate “GOOD”.

Completion

• 11. Remove the CD and power the unit off for 3 seconds and then on again.
• 12. Recalibrate the unit by pressing MENU, then selecting UTILITY, then CALIBRATION. Follow the on-screen instructions to calibrate the unit.
  To check the software version in your CDX, press the MENU button, then select UTILITY, then VERSION. The software version is the number after the “B”. For example, if the display reads “C10.B54.S32.M11.P22”, then your software version is 54.

Note: CD burning is dependant upon both the recording equipment and the CD players ability to read the burned information. On rare occasions the unit may have difficulty reading the burned CD. If the CD is ejected during the test procedure, remove the CD and try again. If it fails again try re-burning the CD.

** IMPORTANT **
Numark strongly encourages DJs NOT to update their CD players immediately prior to an important event. Numark recommends using a surge protection device when updating your CD player. Power surges, power failures, and other unforeseen events can damage the CD player during the update procedure. Problems may occur due to user error. Thousands of Numark CD players have been successfully updated using the procedure, however, if your product does not function after the update, please contact Numark for professional service. Numark assumes no responsibility for damage to products due to user error.

This software is for CDX only

• VERSION 53: First shipping code.
• VERSION 54: Improved ability to read MP3 CDs. Download this code if playback stops or goes into a loop while reading an MP3 CD.
• VERSION 57: Enables track programming for MP3 files. Has further improvements for MP3 playback.
• VERSION 58: Has improvement to make regular CD playback more robust.
• VERSION 60: Has improvements in looping with the filter engaged and pitch stability during motor startup.
• VERSION 61: Has MIDI Interlock function enabled to synchronize two CDXs.
  Note this function requires two MIDI cables and two CDXs.
